Bruce Berning Freshman Baseball Coach:
Attended high school in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Former third baseman and pitcher. Attended the University of Southern Colorado and played second base and shortstop.
Bruce has coached high school baseball for 10 years, seven as freshman and sophomore coach at DCHS.
Wife: Jackie (married 35 years) Jackie is the head dietician for the Colorado Rockies and Cleveland Indians. Children: Matt (22) Matt played baseball, soccer and basketball at DCHS and is a senior baseball pitcher at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. Kevin (17) is a senior at DCHS and plays soccer, football kicker, and basketball.
Hobbies: Playing golf with his sons and traveling with his family.
